Lisa Lupo has more than 30 years of food industry experience, with an emphasis on food safety communication. Through her positions as Editor of Quality Assurance & Food Safety (QA) Magazine; Senior Advisor, Communications for The Acheson Group; and Owner/Operator of LJ Writing Services, Lisa champions her role as a leading voice of food safety for the global food supply chain. Through plant-floor observations and discussions of food safety and quality processes and practices in more than 65 food facilities for QA Cover Profiles, she has gained extensive, first-hand knowledge of the realities of the industry. She has spoken internationally on topics such as best practices in food safety, industry trends, and the impact of consumer perspectives, including a presentation at the 2019 China International Food Safety and Quality Conference. Lisa is a chapter author of Food Traceability (Springer, 2019); Editor of numerous pest control books; a Senior Advisor to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Food Safety Consortium Board; and a Past President of the Twin Cities Chapter of ASBPE. She holds a B.A. with honors in Journalism from The Ohio State University and has furthered her food industry knowledge through ongoing education.
